Aroma
Sweet, intense, and floral. This 'flower of flowers' has a heady, sensual aroma that elevates the spirit and consoles the heart.

Ylang Ylang essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the blossoms. A single distillation is interrupted at four different times to produce four grades of oils — grade extra, I, II, and III.

Ylang Ylang III is one of the three pure essential oils that make up the Signature Scent blend of HolEssence.

Physical Healing
Ylang Ylang has a wide variety of uses from headache's to facial soap for oily skin. skin. Ylang Ylang mixed with Jasmine or Rose has been used to treat sexual difficulties, especially those stemming from lack of confidence.

Physically, it has been used to lower blood pressure, ease muscle spasms and tense muscles, and to treat PMS and menopausal symptoms. It is also used to combat anxiety, depression, hypertension, palpitations, and stress.

In a facial oil or cream, it can help balance sebum production and is most helpful to oily skin. It also can fight the bacteria that often contribute to acne.  Ylang Ylang is said to stimulate hair growth and might be a useful addition to a shampoo or conditioner.

Emotional Healing
Ylang Ylang is known in Asia as an antidepressant, relaxing to body, mind and spirit, as well as an aphrodisiac. It is said to calm anger, release tension, lift depression and generally stabilize mood swings.

Suggested Uses
Blend with rosewood, sandalwood and cocoa butter for an exotic body butter. Sensual Diffusion: 5 drops each ylang ylang and lemon in a candle lamp diffuser.
