When you step into HolEssence, you are greeted by our gentle Signature Scent—a proprietary blend of lavender, rosemary, and ylang ylang—specifically designed to calm and relax. That coupled with soothing music and our soft lavender and sage colored walls designed for a warm welcome.
Our building is a circa 1920 Sears catalog kit bungalow. It is one of the few documented Sears catalog kits in Crystal Lake. Eighty-percent of the floors are the original ribbon oak from the 1920’s—perfect for Yoga.
The 8-foot long customer service counter is solid oak and had been used in a general store over 100 years ago. The antique fireplace mantle behind the checkout counter was shipped over from England by Kimball & Bean and serves double-duty as a display piece as it enhances the feeling of yesteryear.
Maintaining only a small, select amount of product allows us to have dedicated space—sacred space—and eliminates the need for us to break down and set back up again before and after events. In other words, we're "event ready."
Space Rental
It also creates a win-win situation because this beautiful space is also available to others for yoga, tai chi, meetings, workshops, breathwork, presentations, book clubs, book signings, guided meditation, classes, and other events that awaken body, mind, and spirit.
The main useable center space is 25 feet long and 11 feet wide; 275 square feet. If you can make use of this, it's available to rent at the rate of $30/hour.
We have 20 folding chairs, two 8 foot long tables, and three 4 foot long tables that are are available for use as well. Please call us at 815-276-7173 for details.
Laurie's sessions are Tues, Wed, Fri, and Sat between the hours of 10am to 5pm. On those days the main space is available after 5pm. If your event is on Sun, Mon, or Thur, the space is additionally available during the day.
The office and treatment room are also available for rent. The rate for each smaller room is $20/hour.
