Spring has Sprung! Out with the old and in with the new. We just finished the task of eliminating all product and display pieces that were not located on a wall. This opens up the central floor space.Why? Having dedicated space eliminates the need for us to break down and set back up again before and after events. It also creates a win-win situation because the space is now available to others for yoga, tai chi, meetings, workshops, breathwork, presentations, book clubs, guided meditation, classes, events, etc... Abiding Yoga at HolEssence! Beginning April 19th, Nan Palmer of Abiding Yoga will yoga each week at HolEssence. There will be two classes to start with: Mondays, 9 to 10:15 AM; and Thursdays, 6:30 to 7:45 PM. Fees are $15 for drop-in; 6 class card for $72. Nan has been teaching yoga for over 20 years, and is certified at the 500 hour level by the prestigious American Viniyoga Institute. Her classes are marked by attention to detail, respect for the body, and for the traditions of yoga. She has additional certification in ‘Yoga for Low Back Pain,’ the methodology used by Robin Rothenberg in a National Institute of Health study, and also in Functional Synergy (Susi Hately Aldous, recently featured in Yoga Chicago. The purpose of the presentation is to help people recognize the ‘stuff’ that's in the baggage they're carrying on life's journey, and then provide tips on how to start the process of emptying them so they can move forward unencumbered. Available for Adoption Meet Jackie, she is 15 years old and sadly enough lost her first home at 14 years of age due to a foreclosure, and yet again at age 15 she lost her second home -- again due to foreclosure.
She is the sweetest, most laid back companion animal you'll ever meet. She loves everyone and just wants a loving and secure home to live out her life. She is very spry and energetic for 15 years of age and is in great health.
