The Medicine Wheel Earth Astrology Wednesday, May 26 7:00 – 9:00pm $20/each
This sacred circle for women has a 7 student minimum. This workshop -- based on the book by Sun Bear and Wabun -- is taught by Chris Moses of Featherheart Holistic Ministries. To register, call Chris directly at 847-295-3524 or email at chrismoon1@comcast.net. If there is interest after the initial workshop, an ongoing women' circle will be created and facilitated on the fourth Wednesday of each month, using Native American teachings and nature based spirituality as a focus. It will be at the same time, 7:00 - 9:00pm.
This workshop is an introduction to The Medicine Wheel, envisioned and taught by Sun Bear, a sacred teacher of Chippewa descent and founder of the Bear Tribe. During the 1970s, his vision taught many people that Mother Earth and ALL of its relations - planetary, animals, plants, minerals and humans – are all interconnected.
Today, it is more important than ever that we learn to blend and balance with this magic circle in order to sustain and thrive within our sacred hoop of life. Learn the symbolic meanings of all that is represented in this Medicine Wheel - our planetary and earthly relations. By applying these teachings in our everyday lives, we can become open to the gifts that creation has to show us and connect at a deeper more meaningful level with nature. With constant change and flux in our lives, our journey includes the strengths, weaknesses, challenges and lessons within all parts of the wheel. The spiritual pathways on the wheel hold all the qualities that lead back to our source, helping to enlarge and enrich our lives.
