Classic Designs inspired by Ancient Wisdom and Contemporary Vision

Sergio Lub’s unique copyrighted designs are the product of Sergio’s 14 years of formal design schooling and a lifetime of educational traveling. Sergio has journeyed through over 60 countries around the world seeking ancient metalworking techniques. His designs reflect the artistic heritage of many cultures and their beliefs in the beneficial effects of wearing Copper and its alloys. This page features just a few of the many designs that are available. Bracelets range in price from $20 to $60, depending on the degree of complexity.

Metal Content
The Red metal is 99.99% Pure Copper, lead free, the purest available. Copper is one of the friendliest elements, it combines with many others. To find copper this pure in nature is many times more difficult than finding pure gold.

The Yellow metal is Jewelers Brass, an alloy of 85% pure Copper and 15% pure Zinc, both essential minerals worn since prehistoric times by non-related cultures around the world. Science has already proven that Copper is absorbed through the skin, so the bracelets can now be considered a time-release source of needed minerals.

The White metal is German Silver, an alloy of 65% pure Copper plus, 17% Zinc, 16% Nickel, and 2% Silver. Also used to make white gold. It is harder than
Sterling
and got its name because, to have sharper knives, it was first used to make the Kaiser’s silverware.

Magnet Therapy
Magnet therapy is still an empirical study but is a rapidly growing field. Scientific research has shown that magnetic fields influence biological systems, attract and repel charged particles in the blood stream increasing circulation, stimulate tissue regeneration, and reduce pain. Magnets can be safe alternatives for alleviating pain and stiffness related to sports activities like tennis or golf; promoting healing via the body's own internal mechanisms; stimulating circulation, reducing inflammation; and for many specific ailments related to all systems of the body, even mental health.

Each Sergio Lub Magnetic Copper bracelet contains two powerful Rare Earth Magnets encapsulated in stainless steel for maximum rust free conductivity. Rare Earth Magnets are made of the mineral neodymium (Nd), which holds its magnetic properties for adjustability and superior beauty.

Caution: Do not use magnets if pregnant, or if you have a pacemaker or other electrical implant device. Not recommended to be worn with a watch or near magnetic data storage.

Benefits of Wearing Copper
The use of Copper for medicinal purposes is found throughout recorded history. The world's oldest medical texts, the Eber Papyrus, states, "Treat inflammation with pulverized Copper". Today, thousands of years later, pharmacies around the world offer Copper bracelets as a safe first aid for joint pains.

According to Dr. Ray Walker, University of Newcastle, Australia, "Copper, when in contact with the skin, forms chelates with human sweat (sometimes seen as green deposits) and is thus absorbed through skin." Think of a bracelet as a "time-released source of Copper". John Sorenson, Ph.D., University of Arkansas says, "Copper chelates are more effective and less toxic than drugs being used to treat arthritis." Pharmacies all over Europe sell Copper bracelets for the inflammation of joints. Probaby the most authoritative publication on the subject is Dr. Helmar Dollwet's book, The Copper Bracelet and Arthritis, 1981, Vantage Press.

In it Dr. Dollwet explains that Copper is an essential element of an enzyme necessary for the production and regeneration of the cartilage that lines the surface of bones. Copper (and Zinc), he explains, are also essential to Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) which cleans up superoxide radicals that can be destructive to human body tissues.

Green wrist occurrences vary depending on the body chemistry of the wearer and, if desired, are easily washed off. Many expect an occasional green mark to show that the copper "is working". Copper combines with sweat, and forms compounds called chelates which are assimilated by the body. Green deposits occur when chelates are formed faster than they are absorbed. This phenomenon increases with stress and it can be interpreted as an early warning to slow down.

Easy Care

Sergio’s bracelets are designed to be worn at all times and everywhere. They are coated with a thin layer of organic lacquer meant to wear off unnoticeably with use. People seeking immediate contact with the metals can wipe off the inside of their bracelets with nail polish remover. All of Sergio’s bracelets are made of solid metals, so any scratch or blemish can be removed by rubbing with a soft cloth and brass polish. Or, in a more environmentally friendly way, by rubbing with a lemon rind and ashes. The easiest way to keep a bracelet clean is by showering with it on. With this minimal care they will age gracefully and last for generations.

Custom Fitting

As it is handcrafted, each Sergio Lub bracelet is repeatedly heat-treated to realign the crystal structure of the metals allowing them to maintain their natural malleability. Contrary to rigid and brittle machine processed jewelry, these bracelets are easily molded to custom-fit your wrist. Select a bracelet in your size:
