Though not dangerous, persons having a metal joint implant may find exposure to the electromagnetic field generated by the ionSpa® to be uncomfortable. In the event of discomfort, stop using the ionSpa® immediately. You may try lowering the power setting to a more comfortable level.
Persons taking prescription medication should take their meds after the detox session or four hours prior to their ionSpa® therapy.

How the ionSpa®Works An ion is a charged atom that has gained or lost an electron, thus creating a magnetic field capable of neutralizing oppositely-charged particles (toxins in the human body). The ionSpa has a control head that delivers an electrical current through water in the ionizor® array to generate negatively charged hydrogen ions. This hydrogen ion with an extra electron is one of the most powerful antioxidants known and a great source of readily available energy. These ions travel through the body and attach themselves to toxic and oxidative substances, thereby neutralizing the substances charge. After being neutralized, these particles are pulled through the skin or processed through the body’s natural organs of detox and out of the body.
When the ionSpa is set, an abundance of negative ions are being produced in the water, which raises the user’s pH to a more alkaline state. Why is this significant? The ionSpa® draws toxins out of the body via osmosis. Vibrant color changes in the water and bits of foreign matter may appear in the water. This is to be expected. It is caused by a reaction between the toxins being pulled from the user’s body and particles in the water, salt in the the water, the metals in the ionizor® array, and the acidity or alkalinity of the user.
Please note that the color produced by the aforementioned reactions will depend, to a certain extent, on the chemical impurities of the water in the geographic area. Because the human body is approximately 70-percent water, the toxins in a user’s body will look similar to predominant geographic toxins.
