Our bodies have energy centers called chakras. Each chakra (energy station) governs specific organs and glands, as well as certain mental and emotional aspects of our being. During a Crystal Therapy session chakra energy is measured to diagnose the condition of the energy stations and help identify any potential issues. When the chakras are dysfunctional — blocked, excessive, or deficient — our body's functions are affected and prone to disease. It is important to open and balance the chakras to increase our energy flow. Balance between the chakras promotes health and a sense of well-being.
Balance can be accomplished through Crystal Therapy — the application of therapeutic and metaphysical properties in crystals for the purpose of healing. Crystals are placed on chakras, or sites of pain to induce deep relaxation, release stress and pain, and to promote energy balance. Crystals are powerful healing tools because of what science calls the 'piezoelectric' effect — piezo simply means applied pressure. Crystals respond vibrationally to the electricity that is coursing through our body. The constant electrical vibrations of the crystals harmonize, balance, and stimulate these energies. What to Expect The initial Crystal Therapy session is 1.5 hours in length and includes a full Reflexology treatment. Subsequent Crystal Therapy Sessions are 60 minutes in length. Music and aromatherapy are used to enhance each session.
Measuring the Energy Centers While you are relaxing on a very comfortable massage table (gently heated in the fall and winter months) Laurie uses Radesthesia to measure the energy of your seven major energy centers She also measures one minor energy center - the Higher Heart. Radiesthesia is also known as dowsing, the art and science of the pendulum. Using a pendulum, Laurie measures the energy at these energy stations to determine which of them are balanced, blocked, excessive, or deficient.

The Throat chakra is located in the dent at the throat
The Brow chakra is located between, and slightly above, the eyebrows
The Crown chakra is located at the top of the head, in the center
