Note — This chakra is suggestive of the sun, which is also needed for the metabolism of plant and human life.

 

Primary Strengths — Self-esteem, self-respect, and self-discipline; ambition, the ability to generate action, and the ability to handle a crisis; the courage to take risks; generosity, ethics, and strength of character.

 

Primary Fears — Fears of rejection, criticism, looking foolish, and failing to meet one’s responsibilities; all fears related to physical appearance, such as fear of obesity, baldness, or aging; fears that others will discover our secrets.


Lesson — Personal power. The right to think. Balance of intellect, self-confidence and ego power. The ability to have self-control and humor.

 

Balanced Characteristics — Responsible, reliable, balanced, effective will, good self-esteem, balanced ego-strength, warmth in personality, confidence, spontaneity, playfulness, sense of humor, appropriate self-discipline, sense of one’s personal power, able to meet challenges.
