Len Buchanan retired from the military after 20-years of service. While his degree is in Workforce Training and Development, after the military he went to work in the corporate world where he enjoyed the challenge of Information Systems. As the client population of HolEssence grew, so did the technical side of things that go to support a large client base. As such, he joined HolEssence on a full-time basis in January, 2006. You can usually find Len focused on behind-the-scenes activities from troubleshooting system issues, to accounting, and everything in-between. When Karen is not manning the store, Len enjoys helping customers.
As a private pilot, Len enjoys flying taildraggers out of grass airstrips, and light aircraft out of Lake in the Hills airport. Both Laurie and Len Buchanan attended the Center on Deafness to expand their interest in ASL - American Sign Language. And while neither of them is fluent, they certainly enjoy practicing their skills.
Len is a member of the Global Coherence Initiative. GCI is a science based initiative to unite millions of people in heart-focused care and intention — to shift global consciousness from instability and discord to balance, cooperation and enduring peace.
